Buckskin Heights is a gated community located in the foothills west of Fort Collins, Colorado. 

The Buckskin Heights neighborhood is located four miles north of Masonville, Colorado, situated along the southern ridgeline of Christ Mountain. Masonville is ten miles west of Fort Collins, Colorado, accessed via County Road 38E; ten miles northwest of Loveland, Colorado, accessed via CO 56; and ten miles southeast of Stove Prairie, Colorado, accessed via County Road 27W. Otter Road is the main artery into Buckskin Heights. All roads to and through the neighborhood are mountainous dirt roads.

In April 1969, a Grant of Easement was signed into effect allowing for the construction of a private road leading to and from our community called Buckskin Heights. On October 15th 1970,the opening of the private access road  (Otter Road) was dedicated to allow for the permanant access to our community. On October 8th 1970 the community became a reality when the 1st subdivision plot map of Buckskin Heights was signed off to begin sales. On Febuary 10, 1971 the Larimer County Planning  Committee signed off for the 2nd subdivision that makes up our community as it is today.

This site is for information POSTED INDEPENDENTLY of the B.H.R.A / Wildfire Protection Committee for the purpose of research, comments and news reporting, as the B.H.R.A's primary purpose is as described in the constitution: the non-profit association is formed to promote the health, civic and general welfare of its members and in pursuance thereto to construct and operate roads, and such objects as are appropriate in the conduct of its activities, in the County of Larimer and State of Colorado, for the use of its members, their families and others as are approved by the Board.
